I work for Shoutlet, which is a social media management platform.  Today we announced that we passed an SOC 2 audit and are the first social media platform to do so.  This brings up two questions:  

Does anyone in social media know what SOC 2 is? Does anyone care?

I should have provided more information in my original post.  I am familiar with a SAS 70 audit, and SOC 2 apparently is the new SAS 70.  Just like the age 40 is the new 30.  Or so I hope.  Anyway, here is some more info:

The SOC 2 audit standards, formerly known as a SAS 70 audit, were developed by The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to establish a common audit approach to best practices regarding policies, procedures, and processes related to security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy for demonstrating a strong system of internal controls.
