this morning i   found my fb page blocked….so scary,,,,,it had been hacked by someone in poland….my tekk person is on vacation….so i had to deal with it myself…i didnt know my password either…. ..   i followed the directionis and got back on….
this would have been the worst week ever to not have facebook….our big event is   this weekend and   facebook is our best tool to connect with our buyers for it….. even   better than snail mai which we spent over 900$$ just in the stamps on and   lots of hours and the postcards……..
it really made me realize that   i dont own my facebook account and we might be at the mercy   of the   facebook machine at any given time..or some horrible hacker out there………. THANKFULLY, it worked out great…. they were totally responsive…..
but im not  neglecting our    website,   email database ,mailing list, etc etc….. in case someting happens i cant fix….

@annfurnivall So glad you were able to work through it, but I would have been a wreck myself! Does show you that we can’t “put all our eggs in one basket” and having a multi-media approach to promoting our business definitely makes sense. Thanks for the warning! It is appreciated!

thanks alonozo….they had great directions right on the page that   told me i had been   blocked….. and   i just   followed them….they ask if some emails were me…. and if could have posted from poland….. and asked for my password…
i responded to all that just a few minutes after   getting a new password, since i didnt have the right one or more likely   that my old one didnt work because i was blocked….. not sure on that…. but the new password worked just 5 or 6 minutes after   getting it…
it worked ….so i didnt have to   wait and deal with  anything more complicated….. …
right kim….. i want to be so careful…but dang….facebook is so central for us……. i avoid apps for that reason too….dumb on my part maybe but i figure i cant tell the dangerous ones from the   safe ones….and i did read about an app messing up  a facebook page   somewhere… …

..maybe it was an easy common situation….sure felt horrible tho….

@annfurnivall Who knows why anyone does anything when it comes to hacking? I’ve never understood why talented people would put so much effort into criminal enterprise instead of getting a much more honest job, plenty of money (tech jobs pay well), and the freedom of knowing you can walk down the street without fearing the police.

@robpeck…. it starts this friday…. hoping for 1k people….or more…..we are working like dogs.lol……..the marketing is all on schedule ….they should have gotten their postcards yesterday and their email invite today….and im planning on putting a promoted post on facebook tomorrow….also did radio and newspapers….. boy newspapers seem les important every year….. but we do it for this big thng…
