I write this at 4:00am EST on February 15, 2013 to report that Gabriel Chillag is Social Media Examiner’s 9,993rd new member. Welcome Gabriel!
Sooooooooo that means in just a little while today, Social Media Examiner should reach a new milestone marker with 10,000 members! Congratulations are about to be in order for SME owner Michael Stelzner!

I’m an early bird too. It’s 5:31 am here in Kansas. I’ve been watching that number rise this past week too.
It should happen today!
Sunrise should be 7:18 am this morning so I’ll be watching the birds at about that time. Something always happens when I’m watching the birds get up and about!

Ok, something odd happened.
The number went up to 9,995… but no new member appeared in the member directory.
Is there some “secret” back door in which someone can enter?

Don’t ‘cha wish there was a real prize? I kinda do but have no authority. Heh.
The count now stands at 10,027 – 11:12 pm CST and today we had a minimum of 34 new members – a pretty good count and I think the most I’ve seen in any one day since I’ve been here. Or at least close to the best day.
Goin’ to bed – it’s been a busy day.
