Scheduled Posting HELP Please! (5 posts)

  • I have an account that I am not able to post a scheduled post on. This is the message I am getting from facebook “Scheduled Posts Can Only Be Shared in the Future,If you want to share something now, just use the Post button. Scheduled posts need to be shared at least 10 minutes from when you create them” I have my own business page and I tried the schedule post deal and it worked fine.I don’t know what to do. Please help. Thank you,Suzy :)

    I read your post and decided to do an experiment myself and came up with a slight conclusion. When doing a scheduled post through a business page you are able to set the year, month, day, and TIME. When you are doing a scheduled post for a original profile I was only able to set the year, month, and day without a time option. I feel this could be a server issue and not your fault at all. I still have not been able to produce a correct scheduled result along the lines of a how business pages work. I hope this helps and we will have to suffer together it seems!

  • I’m wondering if this is an issue with a Profile vs a Page, @blessedsc just as
    @trentjordan10 said.  Are you logged in as the Page (you see the Page name in the upper right corner)  Do you have more than 100 Likes on the Page? 

  • Yes @andrea-vahl, I do believe this is a Profile vs. Page incident that Facebook would need to work out since they don’t share common results that I can see personally. As far as page likes go, I am an admin of a page myself and it contains less than 100 with the ability to schedule. I guess I would run through the checklist of:

    • Are you on your Profile or Page?
    • Are you using an outsource scheduler such as Hootsuite?
    • Some times Hootsuite goes against the Facebook API and messes up posts occasionally.
    • Are you using a Mac?
    • Occasionally I have issues with posting in general on a Mac for some unknown reason.
    Hope this can further help you since this is my first club posting and hope to leave a good first impression!

  • @ andrea-vahl, when I am logged in it says “manage page” in the upper right corner. I have 20 likes so far. We just got going. There maybe a problem because there were 2 business pages for them and we are only using one, but we can’t find the other one to delete it. We changed the name on the one we are using now, but I think that maybe the original one is the one that has all the allowances we need in order to be able to do what we need to do. If all of this makes sense.
