running promoted post….. (3 posts)

    im  shocked….im running a promoted post  and  the numbers  are  soaring…..  over  3000  views on  something  that would  usually get  4 or  500….a picture…  …. im  pretty  sure im  getting   many  many   views  from overseas….NOT  FROM  MY  FANS…. 

    i scanned  the likes  and  the names   are   mostly  very foriegn  sounding….  i looked  because   3 people  from pakistan  were  commenting  on  the post  and talking each other….why would  they  be on my page?       whats  going on?  seems  totally dishonest   ….  

    ive  done these  before a few times…. this is  so  different…

    When you promoted the post did you select “people who like your page” or “people who like your page and their friends”?  i have seen the same thing happen when choosing the later.  People in foreign countries I think are just a lot easier is get to and Facebook wants to expand so your item will get into newsfeeds of these people who are somehow connected to your fans.  I have since stayed away from this option.

    you  were right… …  i  stopped the   promoted post  and  started it up again  with just  checking   friends only..bad  part might  be  that    some  will get the post   2  times…..but it  was  an important post,  about our  big  event  this weekend….

      thanks so much  for good info….  i just  thought   ,,,,sure  friends of  fans   sounds  great…….
