Reviews or ratings third-party app (9 posts)

  • Hi guys,I’m looking for a reviews or ratings app for my client’s Facebook page. Can anyone recommend an app that they’ve worked with? Thanks for your help!

  • What type of business do they have and how many fans have they got?

    Cheers,

    Scott

  • Hey Scott, It’s an assisted living community for senior citizens. We have around 500 fans. @scottlinklaterYou can check it out at https://www.facebook.com/TheBristal.Thanks for you help!

  • Thanks Lydia,

There are lots of great apps out there, it really depends on what you want them to do.

You already have a really good setup there. Maybe a Landing Page / mini site with facebook with some more details about the community?

You can use apps like shortstack or pagemodo or FanPage FX

Andrea wrote an article about some other ones last year, you can find it here:

    http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/top-10-facebook-apps-for-building-custom-pages-tabs/

I have an app being Beta tested that I can get you free access to as well but I’ll send you a PM about it once we are friends as we don’t like to self promote on the forums.

Is there anything specific you are looking for?

    Cheers

    Scott

  • Booshaka is another good one I have used with success in the past

    Hey Scott,
As far as a review / rating app I think I’d like to set up a survey / questionare allowing them to rate organization & allow for comments. I’m using Shortstack now for something else. I like it a lot but I was hoping for something “off the shelf” not requiring HTML. Are any of the ones you recommended an “off the shelf” review app?
Thanks for taking a look at the page. When you speak of a mini site / landing page do you mean adding another tab? I like that idea. I can link the digital ads that we run to the landing page instead of the timeline.
ya know, let me ask for your opinion on another thing. I’m running a campaign for the same client in response to Hurricane Sandy that hit the Northeast of the US. My client is donating up to $5,000 to three charities. We are asking for people to register (using shortstack) and choose 1 of 3 charities listed and The Bristal will donate $10 per participant. We are not asking anyone to make a donation. My client is making the donation.
It’s been running almost 3 weeks and we only got 75 participants. We are not requiring people to Like the page. My client wants it to be a philanthropic campaign, not pure marketing. We ran almost a dozen print ads, digital ads & Facebook promoted posts. We emailed our email list of 5000 twice and even reached out to the three organizations. They posted it at least once on their page but it got lost in the mix of other organizations’ disaster relief campaigns.
I’m concerned that we are not reaching enough people. I don’t know what else to do. The FB promoted posts were/are the most effective. Any other suggestions / recommendations you and anyone else can make is very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for all your input!!

  • sorry for the long winded post :S

  • @lydiamediavilla  I just installed the Appnautic App for Reviews and it seems pretty easy and straightforward:  http://www.facebook.com/GrandmaMaryShow/app_222136461188132

Hi Andrea, I like it – simple. I wish I could upload an image (header or background). I don’t see that option. I’ll do some poking around to see if it has that capability. Thanks!!
