On our timeline, we have the “recommendations” area, which is great for our prospective members to see.  However, there have not been any recommendations since November or so of last year.  Is there a way to promote or encourage people to leave recommendations in this area?  Obviously we want them to be true and honest, but I’m not sure many people know about that area — they just leave comments on our wall/timeline instead. Just curious if anyone has done anything to promote that on their FB profile.

I have not done anything to actively promote that exact thing, because this is only available on Place/Pages.  But I would definitely do that.  You could start out with saying something like, “Have you enjoyed your visit to our place?  Then come on over and give us a Recommendation on our Fan Page – (and actually put a link to your Page) and tell us in the Recommendations box!”  

You could even offer something small in return if you wanted to.  But I think it would be fine to just post about it and see what you get!
