Quantity or quality? (5 posts)

  • One of the main questions is how to increase my fan number on my facebook page. On occasions extra efforts are made and resources are spent to attract persons that are not even close of being prospect costumers.

    What’s the point
of having a business fan page with thousands of fans
if that does not produce revenue?

So what are you betting for: quantity or quality?
Of course a combination of both would be great  ; )

  • if you want to go for short term gain – Quantity (contest, lucky draw give away etc)
if you want to go for long term gain – Quality (your post content)

  • @annliu I think for both of your points a degree of quality has to exist. But you are right, if you want “bragging rights” just to show off you have a lot of “fans” (and I use quotations because they won’t really be fans) well that just defeats the purpose of even spending time on it because your not actually building anything. Your not improving your brand, you are just masking it. That’s my opinion anyway. You should want people who are genuinely interested.

  • @sgsrecording – agreed, you are right :-)

  • @fernandocortes,

Some good insight above.  @annliu states it well.

Mainly, you want quality that grows organically.  Concentrate on quality posts that reach your fans and trigger response, and you will build that fan page with many engaged fans.

It is a process that requires planning and diligence.  But it is great when achieved! :)

    Hope that helps.
