Hi, I’m in Canada and have a Facebook page with 253 likes on it (http://www.facebook.com/BambooSpiritMartialArtsCentre) . I would like to “promote” posts of mine about upcoming events. However, it appears that the “promote” option is not available.

Is it because I don’t have enough fans on my page or it hasn’t been rolled out in Canada yet?

I’ve been digging around a fair bit on this issue this afternoon and after a considerable time, finally found the answer. According to Facebook:

“Promoted posts are a simple way to reach more of the people who like your Page and their friends. Visit your Page to try promoting a post. Promoted posts are available to Pages with more than 400 likes. “

Being that my Page has only 256 likes, it does not yet qualify for promoted posts.

Will have to get working on increasing the “likes”!!
