I’ve been trying to post an animated image (gif file) to Facebook, but have not had success in doing so. Can anyone help me.

@joycemwest2012 I am not sure that gif files can be uploaded as photos to Facebook. In the early days I know Facebook wanted to avoid getting too “Myspace-y” and didn’t allow gif files. I am not sure if that has changed. @Andrea-Vahl have you heard whether this has changed?

@joycemwest2012 I had uploaded Gifs onto my timeline, directly from the app. The app I used (gifboom) had the option of sharing on Facebook after creating the animation.

for what I know you can’t upload Gifs… or at least if you want them to be animated, you can’t.
