Hi,

I was in the process of setting up a Facebook Fan page when I stumbled across a field in the Basic Information Tab that has me guessing. The field is labelled “official page” and when you hover over the cute little ? for help, it says something like:

If your page is a fan page, please enter the official page here. It will then be labelled as a Community Page about the Official page and will help the official page see updates.

Wow, has anyone used this? I am struggling to see a Business Page use for it but I would love to hear if anyone has made any use of it. Could it be used to help optimise a Business Page in Facebook?
