Non-Facebook Display ads on fan page (5 posts)

    I just noticed new display type ads that say “ads not by Facebook” How do I hide those?  There is one just below my apps/about line and in the right hand column under the pages that my page likes. I just noticed them today and can’t find a work around.

    @deereinhardt  That is from a Facebook App that you may have somehow installed or has gotten into your system.  There are many bad apps like this called PageRage and others.  Here’s a post from Facebook on how you get rid of those:  https://www.facebook.com/help/adware
    You may also want to go into your Facebook Account Settings, then click on Apps on the left sidebar and delete any that you aren’t familiar with and don’t use.

    Thanks Andrea.  I downloaded something today for some graphic program and I had two or three things that I had to delete.  It might have come from that.  Thanks for the pointer!!
