    Take care,Fran.

  • Thanks @fjsanz. Wonder how this will be different when (if) it rolls out to pages.

  • @lisagrover yes and most important is, I think, when are they going to rolls it out to pages!

I think Facebook is obsessed with users, it doesn’t care about businesses. Don’t you think?

  • @fjsanz  Thanks!

  • @dianebianchi you are welcome! :)

  • It’s like a virtual scrapbook! I love it!! Thanks for sharing @fjsanz

And I seriously HOPE they do this for pages!

  • @melissaagnes yes, it looks like an interactive scrapbook!

    We all have hopes..

  • @fjsanz this may be oversimplifying but my impression is that Facebook has always invested in building and keeping its user base (ad revenue) and has essentially allowed pages to tag along.  Good marketers work to make their page posts engaging and in news feeds but many SMB owners struggle with the time and persistence required to keep abreast of the changes.

If and when the timeline rolls out to pages, it will be more important than ever to mix it up with different types of content, yes?

  • @lisagrover  absolutely! Great point!

  • @lisagrover Hi Lisa! Yes, I’m agree with you. Of course marketes should create engaging updates, with pictures an videos to have more relevance in the, sometimes, saturated News feed… but, for me, Facebook is OBSSESED with users.

The only reason he (or it, sorry my english) allows businesses is that he needs money. That’s it. If he didn’t need it, well… I think businesses would be prohibited in Facebook.

Businesses are asking Facebook for more freedom and tools to engage and sale to fans. Facebook doesn’t care about businesses needs becuase users don’t want to be annoyed by them. So, what kind of businesses has succes in Facebook? The ones that have the time and money to create a good engagement with fans. And, as you say, most of the SMB are relegated, and watch the Facebook’s opportunities from far… far away!

  • What do you think @lisagrover @melissaagnes  @dianebianchi?

  • Thanks @melissaagnes!

@fjsanz I can’t fault Facebook for its business decisions – the numbers tell a very nice story there for sure. I do think it will become more and more challenging for a SMB to have relevance in people’s growing social streams but perhaps that is another discussion thread :)

  • @lisagrover haha! Yes, you have right! Here, in Argentina and Spain, for SMB is very, VERY difficult to reach the News feed of their fans. Facebook’s users just want to engage with their friends, have a good time and relax of work.
