New Dimensions for i-frame graphics (5 posts)

Topic tags: Dimensions, Tiimeline
  • Hi Everyone,

I am re-doing my Special Offers graphic (i-frame app) for the first time since the switch-over to Timeline. Anyone got a note of the dimensions to fit the new Timeline Pages?

I think it is just the width that is slightly more than it was previously!

    Regards
    Alan

  • Hi Alan,

Saw an article on that exact topic on Monday… but unable to find it again. Did find the image that was also shared in the article, so hope this helps.

You can find it here http://thesocialgarden.net/facebook-cheat-sheet-sizes-and-dimensions-397/facebooksizescheatsheet/

Let me know if it’s correct.

    Regard,
    Lisa

  • Those are the correct dimensions  @lisalewis – 810 pixels across for the tabs – and one thing I have found  @chatmarketing is that if you want everything to be “above the fold” you want to have the maximum height be around 525.  But you do have unlimited height.

  • @lisalewis Thanks very much for sharing that link and thanks  @andrea-vahl for your input as well.

I have another unrelated Facebook question I am sure you will be able to answer for me. You know when you comment on someone’s Post then when others comment on the same post you get an email alert with their comments? Well, my question is this! In the situation where you have a Post where, say 5 people have clicked ‘like’ and 2 people have left a comment, do all 7 people get the email alert for new comments or would it only be the 2 that actually left comments that get the email alert for further comments?

  • Hmmm I’m not sure on that one  @chatmarketing – I actually turn off most of my e-mail alerts just for that reason!  I was getting too many.  Facebook probably assumes since you Liked the post, you want to follow up on anything that happens to that post.  But that’s just too much e-mail!
