Meet, introduce yourself, and network with peer club members who live or work in the West Region here. The West Region includes these states:

AK, CA, HI, ID, NV, OR, WA

You’ll find me in both the SE Region and International Region Forums, having lived in both Atlanta, Georgia, USA and Republic of Georgia (former Soviet Union), but made these seven regional forums so we could all network with those who work or live close by.

The seven forums include the International Region and six for the USA: NE, SE, MIDWEST, SW, MTN, WEST. Please help your neighbors find these regional forums so we can all help each other find each other! Thanks for your help.

I am active on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and a whole bunch of other channels. I love blogging although I don’t have much time for it. Looking forward to connecting with others.

I’m the social media guy at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. We have a pretty good FB page, along with YouTube, Flickr, and Twitter. Now I’m looking at how to create a worthwhile Google+ channel, and what the heck we can do with Pinterest.

Don’t try to sell us your consulting service. Congress isn’t in a spending mood, and if anything, we’re cutting back.

But I’m always interested in hearing about peoples’ positive experiences, especially for organizations that aren’t selling anything. Like us.

Hi Everyone.  My name is Chris and I work for the Mountain View Police Department (epicenter of Silicon Valley and home to Google & LinkedIn).  I’m currently a lieutenant in charge of our Special Operations Division which encompasses all things social media. I guess you could say I’m the social media manager for our department.  For the most part, social media is just beginning to catch on in the law enforcement community but it is gaining traction fast.  Whereas the majority of social media marketers are seeking followers for sales and connections, in the law enforcement community, we seek community engagement; offering crime prevention tips, department updates, etc. while also seeking the public’s help with solving crimes.

The Social Media Examiner podcast has been a huge help in learning best practices, tips, and of course, all things social media.  Excited to be here and network.  Don’t hesitate to reach out if I can ever be of assistance!
