  • I hope someone can help me with a Facebook problem I have right now. I have my own personal Facebook profile page plus a couple of different businesses pages that I setup. So all these Facebook pages show up together in my account.

I need to turn over one of these FB business pages to someone else. And I need to completely disassociate myself from this business page. Can someone please tell me how to turn the page over to a new person and get that business page completely unassociated with my other FB pages? Can this been done?

    Thanks,
    Mike

  • @sully Interesting question Mike, but as far as i know you can’t change ownership but would also like to know if this is possible.

To stop the page posts going to your profile just hover over the “Like” button and uncheck “Show in news feed”

    Hope this helps.Bertie

  • @sully @bertievg Once you remove yourself as an administrator, the page disappears. I had to do that with my last job. Then “unlike” as Bertie suggested to remove the posts from your news feed.

  • I had this same question because I will have to do the same thing. Thanks @kc_kreative for your answer.

  • @dianebianchi Glad to help.

  • make someone adminhave them remove you as adminunlikeunfollow

Next time create an admin account for your page, so youj can just hand that account to the new person.

  • @sully ,     In order to remove yourself or someone else as an admin of a Facebook Page, you have to be a manager of that Page. From the top of your page, click Edit Page, select Admin Roles, click Remove next to the person you want to remove (in this case, yourself) then click Save Changes. You’ll need to enter your password to confirm the  change

  • @claire-dalisay Thanks for your input too!

  • Thanks to all for your advice.

  • Mike,

Not sure if this applies, but if you’re working off your personal FB account & creating pages for your business there, it might be best to open a new FB account as a business.  I just did it and it was very easy.  Where to go from there, I’m not sure but I’m hoping to learn a lot in this club.  :-)
