  • Naming a business, website and thus Facebook Page can be a difficult thing for sure!  I would start with a list of keywords that people would relate to.  Things like
    mental health
    medical claims
    medical files
    etc.
What do people google when they are searching for this information?  But then you don’t even have to go with a name people recognized.  Look at sites like Kareo (medical billing) – they are just using the name to brand.  Sometimes having and unusual, easy-to-remember, and easy to spell name and then having a good tagline can be the way to go.

The other choice is to bring your last name in or your sister’s name.  Or a combination of your sister’s name and your name.

The neoticgist seems like a hard word to say as well as a hard word to spell so I wouldn’t go with that unless it was specifically related to your topic and people would be googling that word.

How about anyone else, anyone else have naming ideas?

  • the domain treatsubstanceabusenow.com is available as a domain – although google put a halt to EMD’s (exact match domains) it’s always helpful to have keywords in your domain name. you may also want to use adwords keyword tool and check for high traffic keywords that you could incorporate into a domain
I’d be interested in how this works out – I was part of  a linkedIn thread with someone having problems gaining traction with a substance abuse page on Facebook. The problem I have is how many people want to go public with their addictions?
Personally, I have a lot of addictions and not a lot of time so I’ve been going to Polkaholics anonymous – because they a 2 step program – sorry couldn’t resist :-)

  • thanks guys for the feedback.. i kinda suspected that neotic was way out there and not a word usually googled.. lol
