Must-Have Facebook Tabs (5 posts)

  • I think that to bring a Facebook Page to the next level you have to insert the right Tabs.
Through Tabs you can get email subscriptions, sell your products, engage your fans and so on…

    My question is this:
What Tabs do you think are a must for a great Facebook Page?

  • @maurodand I think it really depends on the focus of the business page. What is the call to action for those visiting the page? For our school partners I make sure we have lead capture information, photos of students, Foursquare check-in, and videos.

  • As far as a CPG brand goes, here are a few that are useful that I have on my page I manage:

UserVoice http://www.uservoice.com – This gives the customer a voice in the decision process for us to decide on which candle scents we at Diamond Candles end up producing. It’s a great way to get a pulse on the community with real-time feedback in an organized way through suggesting a scent, describing it, and then voting. Then other customer can come and vote on suggestions or make their own and have their friends vote, too!

Wishpond http://www.wishpond.com – This is a great and affordable tool for promotional sweepstakes on Facebok. This app can also be connected to your website if you want that as well. The great this is that this app is mobile friendly. That’s the biggest plus for me as nearly 35% of my fans connect with us via mobile.

ShopNow – A great tool to connect our product page to our website right through Facebook. Customer don’t actually buy through through the app, but when they click on a specific product, they’re taken to our website. Definitely helps with conversions.

These are a few that are helpful and that aren’t always talked about.

  • @alexandrabriggs Alexandra, I agree with you: it depends on the goal of the page.

Anyway I think that every Facebook page is made to increase the earning of the business behind it.
Obviously, everyone does this in a different way.
For example, with my page, my primary goal is to engage people.

    Thanks for the reply ;)

@josh_beaty Josh, these are some interesting apps.

Particularly, I think that UserVoice is very fascinating.
It’s a great way to engage fans and at the same time to better know your audience!

ShopNow it’s also an interesting application, but now I don’t offer products yet…maybe I could use it with affiliate products.

    Thanks for your suggestions, Josh!

PS: @josh_beaty I wanted to see the apps in action to have a better idea, so I visited your FB page. I want to say you that your Social Media Examiner profile has a wrong URL in the Facebook Page section: it contains 2 URL so it doesn’t work.

  • Nothing to contribute except to tell Josh thanks for the input and good job, you have some Facebook stats to die for. I’m sure you earned them.
