Multiple Facebook Pages (4 posts)

  • Hello everyone,

I need some advice regarding my Facebook pages. Any thoughts would be much appreciated :O)

I currently have 1 fan page. It doesn’t target any of my personal businesses. It’s more so positive thoughts and motivation. I’m in the process of making another one strictly for one of my businesses. But, I was wondering if that’s really a good idea. I don’t have much time to manage another page. On top of that, I will have to spend money on advertising to drive traffic to that page. I currently have a blog but it’s not tailored to just one business…it’s more so a hub for multiple things. Should I just focus on that and Google advertising instead?

  • @roacilynn Does your “like/fan base” meet the target audience with your current page? If you have different audiences where messaging would differ then having the different pages would make sense. Otherwise it seems like duplication of efforts.

  • @alexandra Some, but not all. This new business I’m in sells products and recruits. So I really don’t want to promote that particular business on my current fan page. If I start another page, I’d have to kind of start from scratch. Is it really worth it? My blog does have a “product” tab. From time to time I do post things on my personal Facebook to link back to it. I have friends/followers who do the same type of businesses I do…they are potential prospect that I already have a rapport with. Do I try and move them to the new page if I decide to create one?

  • It sounds like you really don’t want to create another Page and if you have multiple audiences for different products, then it may not make sense to have one Fan page.  I think you can do well by using your personal profile to keep promoting your businesses if that has been working for you.  Personal profiles show up better in the news feed and if you already have rapport with them on your personal profile they may wonder why bother connecting with you on your Page too. @roacilynn
