Hi – can anyone offer tips or resources for helping business owners who are using a personal profile for their business make the transition to a business page?

There are local businesses that have over 1000 friends on personal profiles under their business names, probably because they did not know any better when they set them up.

I would like to help them create a company page and bring their Friends to it without creating too much confusion. Thanks for any suggestions.

@stanrobinson you can convert personal profile into business page. When you convert your profile into page following things will happen (or won’t happen!)-> Your profile will become a page-> Your wall posts, photos will be deleted-> Your friends will be converted into fans/likes-> You can send them messages but won’t be able to chat with them as you do via chat/messenger app.-> Your profile’s username(if any) will become your page’s username (vanity url

Important: Once you have converted your profile into page, there is no way to drive in reverse gear, that means you won’t be able to convert back to your old profile from page.
