Merging Facebook Pages? (3 posts)

Topic tags: check in, fan page, locations
  • Hi All,

I was just wondering if someone could help me. I am developing a Facebook page for my bistro. Currently there are two places on Facebook where people can check into the location under the same name that visitors seem to have created. I have developed one of them into my page however the other location is still available for “check-in” and people are using both.

Does anyone know if it is possible to merge the two or would I have to create two different pages?

  • I found the post below @ http://www.facebook.com/marketing/posts/109609765784445

Facebook Marketing Solutions: Places is not yet available in Portugal. We’re gradually adding new markets and look forward to making Places more widely available.

You can merge a single Facebook Place with a single Facebook Page. To remove duplicate Places, we recommend that you claim these Places on Facebook. Once they’ve been claimed, you can delete the extra ones to improve the user experience of people looking for your business. More claiming information can be found in the Places section of the Help Center: http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=1159

  • Thanks for that Jules, that’s very helpful…how simple :)
