Managing Multiple Pages Advice (3 posts)

  • Hello! I’m curious what you advise for someone who manages multiple pages. I have my own personal FB page, plus one for each of my three virtual giving circles, and then one for the umbrella organization that hosts the giving circles. So, in all, I have 5 FB pages. I post personal info and some promotional items on my personal page. On each individual giving circle page, I post items specific to that topic (for example, Veterans Giving Circle has resources and info about veterans while Poverty Busters Giving Circle has links about poverty). The umbrella page (Change Gangs) has topics about general giving and inspirational quotes.

Do I need to worry about staggering when I post to these pages? Should I merge them all into one page?

Thanks so much for your thoughts!
    Sharon

  • I think a little more info may be needed in order to better understand what exactly you are looking for.  Do you have the links?

Your personal page is separate from business or group pages.  If you have a separate personal profile to use as a group or business purpose then you will want to convert that to an actual page (FB guidelines)

What is your fan count and interactions like?  If they are working successfully separate then you may be best to keep them that way.  It all depends on your purpose and goal.

  • Thanks,Melissa. My social media marketing, in general, is a colossal failure. I have few fans and no engagement. On the plus side, that means I have an opportunity to make changes without anyone really noticing or caring.

Change Gangs (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Change-Gangs/102152213193627) is the page for my business (it’s more accurate to call it my life’s work, because I don’t do it for money and I don’t get paid for it). Change Gangs provides the tools and infrastructure for people to organize around a particular cause and pool their small donations to make bigger and better donations together (virtual giving circles). On this page, I’ve been posting inspirational items and information about donating.

But I thought that each giving circle should have their own page since they are organized around their own cause. https://www.facebook.com/pages/People-with-Compassion-for-Pets/188504477859120, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Poverty-Busters/200400699993083, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Veterans-Giving-Circle/254155404657407. Each of these pages, I update with material appropriate to that cause.

    Does that help?
