There is another thread about this.. but the problem in the title is not quite as clear.
Anyone else seeing this? Many in my niche are. It happened on 8/30 and my reach cut at least in half.. no changes.
I am very much engaging my readers..lots of likes and comments.. so that is not the issue

I don’t know @jenettapenner – I’m seeing mixed results in my Pages. On Social Media Examiner we are experiencing the same thing (anyone can see any of these numbers on any page). But on another page with a large audience I’m seeing an increase in reach. Then on others it’s steady. I don’t have a good explanation. Especially since the Talking About This number hasn’t changed that much (although down slightly)

Thanks.. this is in no way scentific.. but I did a poll in a larger blogging group of people in my niche.. so far 38 have answered .
36 of them have seen a 50-75% reduction in fans seeing their posts since 8/30

My reach has gone down 45.74%. My fan count is rising. My talking about this is down a bit, but it fluctuates depending upon what is going on.

if you are just talking about the number that FB invented, that number has changed. But that is not a real number. the original calculation was invented and the modification is just another play on numbers.

Yes & it has been dropping ever since. I know it is facebook. My fan/like count is still increasing. I could see it going down if the “talking about this” goes down, but it seems that it should be around the same percentage.

@richardmclaughlin thanks for the article…. mine really didnt go down and went up a LOT during our big week in august….the article said it counts mobile better now and it counts those who load more…???… so i figure i have lots of mobile users and that most of my fans load me up….
i really didnt quite get what load meant..
also on mine, nothing special happened on 8/30..
