Looking for an app to build a Facebook tab consisting of multiple tabs (7 posts)

Topic tags: apps, custom tabs
  • I’m looking to set up a tab containing multiple tabs for polls (somewhere between 6 and 12), with the potential to start out with only one of them active, the rest deactivated/reserved for future use, bringing them live, one at a time. However, I’m not certain this is doable and, if so, which app provider would be best for this type of use.

What I’m trying to put together is one tab that contains all related polls, making it easier for fans to find and add their answer/guess to any poll that preceded their discovery of my fan page.  (This is the only potential solution that’s come to mind for me, and I’m hoping it’s a workable solution.)

    Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

  • @hjelliott Hi Holly

Try ShortStack. They have a tab called “Sub Tabs”. :)

Yes that can be done. PM me and I will be happy to set up an example for you.

  • @russellallert, I had actually started setting this up using ShortStack and then had the light bulb go off in my head about multiple tabs within a tab so stopped to ask. However, searching the ShortStack Docs for both “sub tabs” and “subtabs” it’s giving me a zero search result.  I’ve been browsing through the site for some time now, and for some reason, I can’t even locate the templates; it’s just giving me “There are no public templates available yet.”

@scottmadden, thanks for the offer. I’m now going to need to table this project for a couple of days. The pumpkin hour has arrived and I have company arriving on Friday. :)

  • @hjelliott Hi Holly

Try this: Log into ShortStack, Click on Templates, Click on “New”, then click on page 5, and you should see Sub Tabs.

  • @russellallert, I think that’s what I’ve been looking for but not finding.  (It makes me crazy when things make me think I’m going crazy.  lol!)

I’ve logged in, nada.  I’ve logged out, still nada.  :(  When I just now logged back in, clicked on Templates, there was no “New” option.  It merely says Public and My Templates.  When I clicked on Public it says “There are no public templates available yet.” when I click on My Templates it then says “No templates found.”
I’d print my print screen but … it really now is the pumpkin hour.  :)

  • @hjelliott Underneath where it says “Public Templates”, just above the images of the tabs themselves, you will see “Featured” “Popular” and “New”.
