Looking for a non branded iFrame app (11 posts)

Topic tags: iframe, Timeline
  • Hey all,

Does anyone know of an iFrame app that works with FB timeline format and does not require a purchase in order to remove branding?

All I’m looking for is a basic way to iFrame pages I create into FB without the branding of other companies.

  • @scottprock How many fans do you have? Shortstack has a free option if you’re under 2k likes, and I don’t think there is branding on it. I’m not totally up to date on it, but you could certainly check it out.

  • Thanks  @jennifer-sharp I love ShortStack and use it on some of my pages, with the free version they do brand the page.

I’m a web developer so I’m just looking to build my own pages, just need a way to get them into FB without another company’s brand ;-)

I did find iFrameWrapper. Currently looking to see if it will fit my needs.

  • @scottprock Let me know if that works! It’d be good to know if there are any truly free iFrame devs out there.

  • Looks like iFrameWrapper is out, the developer has merged it into their management platform which carries branding for the free account.

The part that is frustrating to me, is having to go through the process of installing the apps before I get enough details on what the app provides.

I wish FB would require all app developers to have a page that details what the app does, looks like and everything you would need to know before agreeing to install the app. I know some apps do, but many don’t.

  • Static HTML for Pages is not branded and free:  http://apps.facebook.com/static_html_plus/?fb_source=search&ref=tsBut it is all HTML code, no drag and drop.

Yes, it would be nice to see how it looks before spending time on it!

  • @scottprock I used WooBox to create my free tabs (AHAA). Really easy to use except may how to easily access it again! You will need to be “yourself” vs. the page admin to use it.

  • @scottprock Hi Scott

    Highly recommend ShortStack.

  • HI @Scott-Prock

I use Static HTML (which obviously requires HTML knowledge as already stated) and do the work in Dreamweaver before posting to FB. If you know HTML then it is a great app and lets you add as many tabs as you need here: http://on.fb.me/ODeArO

You can see some pages created with this app here:

  • @scottprock I started using Woobox back in January and have had great experiences so far. You can white label the apps, and they’re very quick at getting back to you if you have any issues or questions. They were the most affordable for the bells & whistles that I could find too.

  • I use a Wordpress theme called Blank Canvas. With it I can create as many tabs as I want on as many sites as I want. It also allows me to add functionality using WP plugins.

Here’s an example from one of my pages: https://www.facebook.com/RDEEnterprises/app_163978283732288
