Issue with Organic Growth Facebook Likes (9 posts)

Topic tags: followers, likes, posting
  • I have couple of Fan pages one has 7K & one has over 10K likes.

Both pages are community related not selling a thing there.

All the fans were gathered using Facebook Ads & Organic growth.

Below are the some of examples of engagement level on last few posts:

    Page with 10 K + Likes / Over 2000 Talking about it

    1. 69 Likes & 33 Shares2. 130 Likes & 46 Shares

Page with over 6800 Likes / 232 Talking about it

Average likes between 10 to 30 for most postsAverage share between 1 to 10 for every post

Growth of organic fans are really slow, slow means you rarely get organic likes.

Another important thing is that we are using normal call to actions with most status updates, like share, comment etc.

Can we do anything to increase the organic likes?

Thank you so much for your help in advance.

    Hi Rana,

Here are a few tips to get more organic likes.

    • Make sure you optimize your posts with keywords to make them more search engine friendly.  Google doesn’t have the same access to Facebook that Bing does however, they still crawl the pages. It takes longer for Facebook posts to show in Google results.
    • Identify trends and use them in posts.
    • Identify influencers.  There are a few different ways to use influencers.  Try asking them to mention your pages to their fans/likes or invite them to your page and engage them.

  • @iamconsulting Thank you for your help Nichole.

We are doing first two things and getting the engagement on pages.

But my question is despite having a good page engagement why organic fans are not increasing. :-)

  • @rshahbaz

There could be a variety of reasons.  It could be reach and identifying influencers could really help there but without looking at your analytics and have a deeper insight into who your audience is, it would be difficult to give anything more than a guess.

  • @iamconsulting I can understand your point.

Thank you so much for taking time and try to help me out :-)

  • @rshahbaz

Anytime.  Sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance.

  • @iamconsulting Don’t be sorry, I know with limited information it is hard to find the exact problem.

But I really appreciate because you least tried :-)

  • @rshahbaz

    =)

  • Never considered optimizing posts for keywords interesting… thank you mwah
