Hi:

I’ve been participating in a lot of Fan Page Fridays lately. Its grown my number of fans a lot, yet it has required that I like a whole lot of pages. I’m wondering if there is a limit.

Somewhere I read that the more friends you have, the fewer likes you are allowed to make of pages.

Anyone know if that is true?

Mitch – I’m a self-published bestselling author and traditional publishers want to know how many friends, fans, email subscribers, etc. that you have. I don’t know if I will ever try to get a publisher, but if I do, the numbers really matter to them these days. I’ve been participating in Fan Page Friday parties to grow my list. Some of these suggest that you like everyone else at the party. Its tough to know who does and who does not reciprocate since you like their page, but you have to do it with your personal account for it to count. So for the last several weeks I’ve been liking one heck of a lot of pages. Obviously its time to cull some of those out and figure out who is reciprocating. But the bottom line is for now at least it is about the number of likes on my page rather than the quality of those likes. In the long run, the quality of likes will mean much more.
