I have seen a few work-arounds to the “no merging FB accounts if more than 200 likes” rule that I read on Facebook.  So is there truly a way to merge two accounts (and two Twitter accounts for that matter)?

I manage my organization’s social media for a large region, which includes multiple FB sites within one market.  We are going to shut down one page and message them that they can move to the other page.  But ideally would like to someone move them to the new page on our own and not just hope that they move before we shut down the page.

I have had great success merging multiple place pages–have you tried to claim the business with your admin account? There is the option of doing that, but you have to have the proper documentation in your facebook page or be willing to email them. When i did it (I merged a business with 4 place pages) I had to show them a copy of my business license. You should have seen the fan count shoot up after that!
