Is it possible for FAN PAGES to do B2B? (7 posts)

  • When using your Facebook Account as a Page, I noticed the following:
    1) It seems like there may not be an option to “Build Audience” by suggesting your Fan Page to other Fan Pages, just like you would do for friends. Am I correct or have someone been able to do so?
    2) When you like other Businesses Fan Page, and you want to “mention” them on your status it could take up to 24 hours + for you to be able to “@” them to your mention. Does this happen to you as well?
Thank you for your time. Any help, suggestions, comments, tricks, opinions will be very much appreciated.

  • @systaley You can only send request to friends. Your page can like another page and when appropriate you could tag them in a post. This could encourage them to like you back. Be careful of tagging, it can be construed as spam. Works great when used correctly. Hope this helps.

  • It does, thank you @kathyweir. I only like other Businesses Fan Page when they partner up with us (sponsors) and so I create a “Thank You” post on our Wall so our participants are exposed to their business.

  • Good idea, make sure your tagging them. What is your page? This is my social media tips and curated articles page:

  • Great I liked your page already! Look forward to your posts. I own two businesses and also run our Social Media Marketing. One is SoCo Sports and the other one is Playbook Community – Thanks a lot @Kathyweir

  • Yes, @systaley you can only suggest your page to personal friends.  I have problems tagging pages both right after liking the page and sometimes it’s quirky other times too.  One good thing to do is to just talk to other pages as your page.  After you like their page, then just watch your Page’s home feed and comment on their posts.  Hope that helps!

  • Thank you @andrea-vahl! That’s exactly how I network with other local businesses, which I think it’s a great feature for any adm. I just really think Facebook have some serious flaws for Fan Pages; but how doesn’t! :)
