Is it ok to cross promote for different brands? (2 posts)

  • My client (iPad magazine publisher) has a FB page and wants to do joint promotions with one of their big advertisers. Is their any rule against it? I think it would be ok for them, as long as it doesn’t drive followers away from their page. Any thoughts?

  • Their are advantages and different methods to use depending on the clients involved. Just use creative ways to cross promote. The goal I assume is to increase traffic, establish authority, and ultimately increase sales. The focus will be from me to we and both parties will need to be happy. This is the bottom line to me. Some times established rules can be altered legally.

Sometimes depending on the business climate it’s not better to just try and stand out above anything and everything else; Rather, partner with like-minded brands, blogs, and companies to grow effectively together. It is important to really know what your clients are thinking about in this situation and not just assume. Always know what your clients are thinking.
