11 months, 2 weeks ago: Nice to meet everyone. I’m CEO of the Business Success Center in Austin, Texas. We provide sales, marketing and financial infrastructure, systems, and support to owners of existing small businesses. In short, we make successful owners with profitable, transferable businesses.
We also do owner training through a program we created called the Owners MBA™ and I am the author of several books and ebooks: Thinking Big, Staying Small, A Networker’s Guide to Success, and Easy to Be Green. I lead a bloggers group, Bloggers United and a B2B Meetup. I am very interested in international opportunities and have welcomed delegates from 108 countries and led two trade missions.
I started with Twitter and linked in and am late coming to facebook. I know how to maximize P2P connections. I find FB daunting to deal with on top of all the other marketing I keep track of or engage in. Case in point. I’m applying for a grant from Chase Bank to take my training online. To be eligible, I have to get votes. Those votes can only come from FB accounts. It’s been tricky to find those businesses (and people) who use it. Many of my contacts have either canceled or just abandoned their page.
I hope to discuss what others have found about FB user trends and ROI. This will be key to helping form the online owners community that goes along with the training and to help my clients grow their businesses. I guess I’m still not sure where FB fits in. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
Our website is at http://www.ownersview.com and I have an older personal (JanTriplett) and newer business (Business Success Center) FB page.
