My name is Loren Bartley and I am the Director of Impactiv8, offering social media solutions for small businesses. I live in Melbourne, Australia.
I have spent the the better part of two decades working with various small to medium sized businesses in a variety of roles, including managing several small office environments. I understand first-hand the resource constraints that small businesses face and the potential power that social media has to overcome those constraints, provided you have someone on board that knows what they are doing.
I have had extensive hands-on experience successfully developing, implementing, managing and monitoring social media campaign in business on a daily basis to increase brand awareness, make positive connections, engage customers, support customer service efforts and ultimately drive sales.
My knowledge comes from my hands on experience, combined with my avid reading, webinaring (not sure that is even a word), podcasting, learning and playing with the various social media platforms and tools. This has enabled me to developed a wealth of knowledge and resources that focus on what works, what doesn’t, best tools and loads of tips that go beyond the practical “how to” and incorporate strategy and best practice advice specific to utilising social media within small businesses.
I recognise a need for someone with my knowledge and skills to work with small businesses, cutting through the clutter of information that exists and assisting them to utilise social media as an integrated part of their business to achieve their business objectives.
Whilst my passion has always been sport, active recreation and a healthy lifestyle, I am still a geek at heart. I am an early adopter, a planner, an organiser, a creator, an educator, a blogger and most importantly a doer! I pride myself on the fact that I set high goals for myself and achieve them, facilitating others in the process to achieve more than they ever felt possible. I am a social person (both on and off-line) and get a real kick out of providing true value to others.
