I’ve started a blog and corresponding Facebook page to help people cope with work stress.  I’m not selling anything, but will plug an author who really helped me out when I was not doing well about 9 years ago.  He is ill and has made his concepts available to me as long as I use them to help people. 

I collect and post stories, and sometimes I muse.  You can send your work stress story to krdery@gmail.com.  I post anonymously, but approved articles or stories may plug their books or businesses.  Your views on work stress are welcome if they are in line with the golden rule.  You know, “Treat others as you would like to be treated”.

I am excited to join this network.  I have always received the emails and visited the website, but just stumbled across this yesterday.  I love social media and learning from others.

I have a community support facebook page for my area.  People post questions (any question), my admins repost & we get answers.  People become addicted to the page, trying to help others.  Business owners like it because many get new customers/clients. We have a lot of military families and once they leave our area, they remain on the page because the military is really a small network of people.  The questions can be about the local area, places they are planning to visit, about a new area they are about to move to, looking for friendships, asking for opinions or sometimes people post their needs.  I feel like the page is a blessing to so many people.

Hello! I almost feel out of place on this board because I am not in marketing or advertising or creating pages for others.  I am the owner of a new venue for my town – a food truck. We owned and operated a cafe downtown for 8 years and have been following the food truck trend for the last few years. The building we rented was sold and we decided there was no better time than now to pursue a new venue. We are the first food truck in the college town that we live.  Our method of advertising is mainly facebook or twitter and I would love to know all that I can in how to better use the social media for advertising.  Our population is mainly college students that are media savvy and that seems to be the best way to reach them.  I didn’t know about this web site until I took a short course at Vo-tech on facebook.  I’m excited to see how this can help me be on the cutting edge of creative ways of advertising.

Hi everyone! I signed up a few days ago but I use my Android most of the time and it wouldn’t post here.

Well, here’s my story. I bought a travel package from Coastal Travel and now I can be a distributer and market there packages. I was taught to use there marketing system, buy leads and call as many as I could using a script book. Now I’m not saying that doesn’t work but it’s definitely not me. So I started a FB page (wholesale travel packages) to build relationships and interact with everyone, even if they don’t want to buy. I think it helps a page to have friendly conversation. So now I feel like a black sheep because I not following directions and doing what everyone else is. But I love what I’m doing, even though I haven’t made a sale yet. My page is growing, my likes are growing, and I’m starting awesome relationships!

So I’m here to listen, learn, and share what I can. I’m looking forward to meeting and talking with everyone.
