    What the heck is the point of interests lists on FB? We like pages to read about them. Do fellow small businesses think it’s worth it to ask your followers to add you to their interests lists?

    One good reason to have people add your biz to interest lists is that when they go check their list, all your posts will be visible to them. As opposed to getting lucky that they part of they percentage facebook shows your posts to. 

    Maybe someone can verify if users do see all posts from companies they’ve added to their interest but I believe this is the case.

    I have asked it on three pages but have not seen a difference in my stats so far. I also added a few pages to my interest lists (also some that I did not ‘like’) and what I have noticed so far is not very encouraging:

    I randomly (don’t know how it is calculated when the posts are shown) get a fb status update saying something similar to: [interest list name] has 4 new posts (only two are shown, btw) by [page name] and two other members.

    So I actively have to click on the links to see the other two pages resp the other two posts. So besides the hurdle to create an interest list, people also have to click another time to actually see what has been posted within their lists. Not good.
