I Would Really Appreciate Some Help with my New Page (8 posts)

Hello, I have two pages that are working satisfactory but I signed up with a new email address to open a new page and I’m having many problems. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Photo-My-Art/209208429203993
I am a Windows 7 user and usually run through Firefox.
I cannot find a way to send a friend request to one or both of my other pages.
When I click on a supplier’s FB link it routes me back to my new page.
I go to other pages that I frequent with my personal FB page and other business page and I don’t see a way to “like” an article or the page and no way to friend them. There is no Friend tag on my new page. Can a person NOT friend a business page?

@james-geddes pages cannot be “friends” of an individual. You can “Like” pages but not friend them. You also cannot send “friend requests” as a page. You must be logged into your personal account to “friend” someone. Hopefully this answers your question. Let me know if you need further clarification

Thanks, that was a helpful explanation! Now, while I am logged in as “my page” why can’t I follow a link to a suppliers FB page? I keep being routed back to my page. In fact it opens a new window so I have my page open twice.
Is there anything I can do to tap into those folks visiting other FB pages where my client base can be found?

You also do want to be careful on your cover photo – you can’t have your website listed and the new rule is that you can’t have text on more than 20% of your cover photo. Frustrating.

Okay, this is getting me more about exactly what I need to know. I reconstructed my header art per specifications. Thanks for that… I am watching the video on liking pages as my page and I don’t have an icon at the top of my screen showing that I am logged in as my page. I have logged in using my log-in name and password. I went to the edit button and chose use FB as Photo My Art. Still nothing up there. So I switched browsers from Firefox to IE. Still nothing. Also no search bar. That’s what I was saying, it just doesn’t act right or like my other pages. Before I finish the video tutorial I would like to know how I get the search bar to appear. This is exactly what I want to be able to do!

@james-geddes you are trying to search for other pages in your iphone? I wouldn’t use my phone for that kind of stuff, at least for me, the app never works properly. If you can’t search other pages when you’re logged as your page in your computer, then that would be quite weird… you should at least be able to see the search bar…

Hello and thanks for the help!Andrea sent me a message yesterday that has a possible solution. Will find out today.It seems that I have a business only page. Which means their is no administrator unless I assign one. A page has to have a profile as an administrator. I was trying to get away from juggling pages because it usually turned out in the past that I would “like” a page as my profile rather than my business page. Which is exactly what I didn’t want. So this page I built as a business with its own email log on.There I go thinkin’ again!
