  • sorry, i dont like pages im not interested in..

..but  how about  going where your  customers are?….   a  fun  fashion forum or  a weight loss  forum,  somewhere where they  gather….and  try  to  be  a part of it …without   pushing  your  page  too m uch….but  still having some links  when   possible… ..

. im on  one in my industry  that  works  pretty nice…i  can put my url  on  every post , in the signature, so they know i sell but im still in the  conversations in a non  selling  way….

  • @debbiesasekYou have 76 fans now which means you won’t get as many likes, statistically speaking, as a larger page. Have you tried running targeted ads through Facebook? This is an easy way to attract new followers.

Also, put content out there that has the potential to go viral. Perhaps build up relationships with bloggers or other fan pages who will @ mention you on the site.

  • Jennifer, one of the best things to do is to do a search in facebook or google for facebook pages that are related to yours, or other pages that your customers would be on.  Like those pages and begin interacting with the people hanging out on those pages.  Another really good tool is using YouTube and posting videos on there.  If you use YouTube correctly, it can really boost your pages.

  • Have you tried the ‘Deals’ option for customers who Check-In to your location? The more engagement options people have the better the page will do… Oh and I read to post in the AM more than PM…lol

  • I’m only new at this, but I started my fanpage on golf last week. Used the FB ads and now have 411 fans. Cost me about $100.  Still need to grow in order to have substantial fans so I can monetize the page.

  • Facebook ads may be quite efficient to launch your page. That’s what I did! I invested 15$ worth of Facebook ads and here are the results I got:
What Can You Do With 15$ Worth of Facebook Ads?

And of course post content regularly!

  • I echo Jad and Cynthia’s comments. I post our weekly blog entries on our Facebook page every Friday. I reach out to Real Estate pages and “like” them, plus post or share content on their pages. I’ve discovered that we have few women and minorities in our broker pre-licensing program so these days I am working specifically to reach those communities.

I’d like to see how much we can grow organically (without spending $ for FB ads) because those “fans” will truly be engaged, rather than just “liking” and never coming back to our page or registering for Continuing Ed or a Licensing program.

  • not very engaging page, a bit too dry. get a personality on the page

  • @Mac aka richard mclaughlin

Were you responding to my post above or Debbie who started this thread? It’s unclear to me.

  • @debbiesasek  Try  http://www.dealsjoy.com/ on your page. A free app that allows you to offer and tailor deals to your fans. They share the offer, you get more brand-awareness and an increase in likes.

  • Debbie,

Be sure to include your website URL in the “about” section on your fan page. That would be one thing I’d do.

Mac, you said her FB page was dry, and not engaging. What would you recommend for Debbie to do to liven things up?

  • Hi,

depends on what’s your goal and how much can you invest. I’d update the cover image to something more fancy or sexy. The current one looks a bit cheap. Then start posting an engaging content to get more talks about, what should bring some new likes - http://goo.gl/A2hU6. Find places where your potential customers are and start talking to them there (my potential customer is any small business, that’s why I’m here). Run some promotion like dealsjoy.com or social-sweepstakes.eu. It would leverage the effect a lot if you could use some Facebook ads as well

    Fingers crossed :)
