I have been advised to change my main account page name on facebook to something that would directly liaise to my initial name instead of having it associated with numbers and since facebook allows only one time change, I have taken the decision to choose eddy.s.sleiman instead of random numeric addition to the name that was suggested by the system ex: eddysleiman65

This has resulted my profile in not appearing in the search result when people google my name.

1- Do you know if there is any possibility we reach out to facebook and ask them to fix it?

2- Further to your facebook experience what is your recommendation for the name that should be used?

@eddysleiman hope you have found solution from the url provided by  @geoffrey-gordon! For naming, most business go with their official name rather than going with number. This helps them in representing themselves in a professional manner, also it helps users find business page by searching in google and facebook. When it comes to choosing a username for any business page, i generally go with official name. 
(In rare case, Sometimes, going with product name or even tag line can also work but that works only for brand name with very high level of market reputation.)

@eddysleiman Your name came up in my Facebook search when I did it.  Are you talking about in the Google search?  
When I do a Google search on you, you have a good presence but it looks like your own website isn’t on the first page.  But I see other profile that are there (including the one in Social Media Examiner!)  The Facebook profile that comes up first in Google is this one:  http://www.facebook.com/eddysleima

You can submit a note to Facebook if a Page isn’t coming up in the Facebook search http://www.facebook.com/help/contact/265114693573520  But it doesn’t mention profiles.  But again, I see your Profile coming up in the Facebook search so it should be ok.  Hope that helps!

@eddysleiman There is really very little help from Facebook directly.  I’ve tried repeatedly to reach them for issues much larger than this and they never replied.  If you use the form, then sometimes they can help through that.  But other than the forms provided it’s very difficult to get to anyone there.  Sorry!
