    I’m having trouble figuring out how this site works.
    How do you find friends? Can you friend anyone or is it like LinkedIn where you have to know them?
    How do you join a club?

    @sandraangelo first of all welcome to the wonderful club here! To start from, i would say there is no big deal in gettin started here. Its very easy (easier than facebook!)There are basically three categories/club here: facebook, blog and small business. This is facebook club where we discuss problems of ours and others re facebook only. Similarly to discuss issues related with blogs(wordpress and other) we use blogging platform and to discuss other social marketing issues we go to small business club. Here is very easy to understand guide re. joining and running club, finding friends etc: http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/getting-started-guide/

    @sandraangelo to add friend use this member directory: click on add friend button right to their names, once they approved, you’ll be friend with them.(by the way, i just sent you request, hope you’ll approve it!)

    You don’t have to wait to join the public clubs – simply visit the Blogging, Facebook, and Small Business club and click on Join Club button to join them.

    Thanks Moin. I was just wondering about the protocols but I see it’s not like Linked In where you need to know someone before you ask to become friends.

    @sandraangelo Welcome to SME clubs, Sandra! I think @moinshaikh pretty much gave you the good links to follow, so you should be all set. Be sure to browse around the three clubs as there are many, many topics that are being covered through various threads. Lots to learn and digest in here, trust me… ;-)
