Hi Andrea (Club Leader),Pardon me for posting this question here as i don’t know which is the proper place to post it. I just received a flirtatious spam email from a SME member by the name of Lady Lillian. It is frustrating to be solicited by “people” like Miss.Lillian. I’ve been receiving requests from “her” too.
If you notice, at the bottom of the “emails” there is a button to click to “report” the email as spam. I’ve saved the emails until I hear back from SME about it. I sent a communication to the Club Leader and Moderator.
Also, on posts that you think are inappropriate, you can click the “flag” button at the top right of the post.
I’m confident these issues will be tweaked and resolved as the service grows. In the meantime, It looks like the only way to deal with it is to report it.
One other way is to go to the “person’s” profile and look for the “flag this member as inappropriate” at the bottom of the page.
One last thing to add on this issue is something I found on the site:
Let us know if there is a problem. We will try and address your needs, but we may ask you to take the conversation offline. If you do not respond to our attempts to mediate the situation and harass or continuously spam our community, we may have to block your access to the Clubs. You can reach our community manager, Andrea Vahl, at andrea@socialmediaexaminer.com.

I also received her message, and I did the same thing as @bobfarnham
except I did not save her message to me.
For the most part, SME has been very quick to act on such things and I trust she will be dealt with accordingly.

I strongly believe this’s the work of syndicate from Africa. In my country,there’re many stories of gullible guys falling prey to such scam. These scammers are really using every which way to look for their preys and it really surprised me that they would even go to forum like this to try their luck. I guess it’s in places like this that they can obtain the members’ info freely. Tough luck for them. We’re all smarter than them.

Yes, thanks all! We are working on this issue and this Miss Lillian has created several profiles which we keep blocking. When you Flag the message in your inbox, we do see that and block them as soon as possible. Just continue to do that and we will work on keeping this person out of the clubs!
