how can I Automate facebook status (17 posts)

  • I need to know any online free services or applications with which I can automate my facebook status.

  • Hey Memon,

I really highly recommend that you not automate your status updates. I mean personally there is nothing that encourages people to actually engage your page more than you being there. Now I use a tool sometimes called SproutSocial, but I do that sometimes to schedule posts for certain activities, but for the most part I just post manually as it let’s people know you are really there and not just using bots to talk to them…keeps it personal…

  • @foster some time from now  on may be I will not use internet for many days, so this is why I want to this this feature.

  • I checked the website of this SproutSocial but it is just for 30 days trial, is there no other application or online service, which offers free of cost, automate facebook update feature

  • Well, HootSuite is free, but remember you get what you pay for. Looking for something free is not always good because you can run into pretty shotty services in some cases…

  • @asif, I have been using Hootsuite. I started out with the free version, upgraded to the paid but found I really wasn’t using the extra services and downgraded back to the free version. Although I have my twitter and personal FB pages on there, I mainly use to schedule daily posts on two business pages that I manage. I have a mixture of scheduled and “live” posts on my business pages.

  • other idea came in my mind, I connected facebook with my twitter account, now is there any software free of cost with which I can automate twitter messages.

  • @asif Hootsuite is a great program, especially considering it is free.

But I agree with @davidfoster when he says that you should keep away from automating your posts as much as possible.

  • TweetDeck is a better option too. You can manage all your clients FB and Twitter pages at one go. But you need to be extremely careful while scheduling the posts.

P.S. As @davidfoster mentioned before, it is always good to maintain pages all by yourself instead of trusting third party applications.

  • I check one another program TweetDeck http://www.tweetdeck.com, I need to ask that is Tweetdeck free for always for it is free just for one month?

  • I am sharing one another program to schedule free facebook status

  • @asif I believe Tweetdeck is free unless you choose to upgrade. I moved away from Tweetdeck when I started using Hootsuite and I prefer the Hootsuite capabilities much more. I use Hootsuite for standard regular posts but make a point of also going into the pages and updating status manually with information or resharing articles to make sure not all engagement is through 3rd party posting.

  • @alexandra @Rahul Korrapati @Russell @Lori @David thanks alot for participation and suggestions

  • I use Hootsuite and and awesome tool called Buffer. Buffer let’s you stack up updates to be sent out to Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn at predefined times.

I’m actually giving away a free year of the Buffer Pro version on my Facebook page this month. (I don’t work for Buffer, just a fan)
