Has anyone seen a site like this but in English? (8 posts)

  • my client is located in Asia and wants me to use a similar  application (see link below) in the Middle East, but we need to use this in English: https://www.facebook.com/myhotdeals. They don’t have offer one in English.
Is there a version of this kind of Facebook application floating around, but for people who speak in English? I am thinking that this is someone that that is popular in Asia, but hasn’t gotten out to the Western World yet.
Thank you for any assistance, Robin

  • @robinoshaughnessy  I couldn’t tell exactly what that app did.  Google Translate is not the best.  What is it, is it something you install on your Page?

Is it a deals app?  If so, try northsocial.com.  They have a plethora of great apps including one for deals.

  • @iamconsulting @andrea-vahl hi ladies – i had the site translated for me from a v helpful friend. It’s a company in Taiwan where companies are paying up to 50,000 taiwanese dollars to be part of this site.
They have 3 different options depending on how much they pay/ how much exposure they want. Then they run competitions which are amalgamated on this website and in order to take part in them you have to ‘like’ the page of the company that’s running the competition.

It seems you have to have an account or maybe the app you’re talking about in order to enter the competitions and there are stats keeping count of how much you’ve won and lost.

Fever 38 makes money by these other companies paying. They say that they will dramatically increase traffic, and good quality leads. They say something about disqualifying people who set up fake facebook accounts just so that they can enter multiple times, in order to ensure that the leads are good.

Again I am trying to find out if there is something like this only not in Taiwan. :-) The client knows about NorthSocial, OfferPop and more but doesn’t like those applications as they don’t offer what this Taiwan company is.

My gut feeling is that this company is the only one offering a deal site such as this. Perhaps I am wrong?

    Thanks for any assistance. :-)

I’ve not come across anything quite like that but I’ll keep an eye out for you.  Good luck!

  • I’ve never heard of anything like that @robinoshaughnessy but it may not be too hard or expensive to have developed.  There are lots of app developers (and some in this forum)

  • @andrea-vahl @iamconsulting thank you for your feedback. :-)

  • @robinoshaughnessy

    Any time!
