I know that this topic isn’t necessarily facebook-based, but it fits more in here than the other clubs.
I’ve been asked to investigate and learn how to use Google+ more effectively and start building a following for the search engine’s social platform. To be honest, I haven’t got a clue. I don’t really use it personally, and it’s hard to really know the best ways to attract followers.
We’re starting to put sharing buttons throughout the site (Creditplus.co.uk) – for example, we’re starting a new initiative for people to add short car reviews for the chance to win an iPad. When they submit their review, they can share it to G+, Twitter and Facebook, and we’re putting the buttons on all of the reviews that have already been written so people can share them with their networks.
Thing is, I know how important G+ is becoming for SEO and visibility, but I don’t know if any real people are going to choose to share on there over the 2 bigger platforms where all their friends are.
Has anybody had experience with Google +? What are your techniques? Do you get any real interaction on your G+ page? Any help would be appreciated
