Have any of my fellow campers been using the FourSquare app within Facebook? I set them up for each of the pages I manage upon the timeline switch. I found yesterday that my links to locations had somehow disconnected and had to go back and correct all of them. I recommend doing the same if you use the app to make sure you locations are all linked properly!

Typically we encourage the FourSquare check-ins over Facebook for the educational sites. Now, with the changes to FourSquare, we are finding the potential of liking and commenting on the check-ins of others at the same location (whether friends or not) is more extensive! Has anyone given thought to typing FourSquare in more since the changes?

@richardmclaughlin Have you used any “Check-in” deals on either service?

@alexandrabriggs I use FourSquare deals too. I’m the Mayor at my favorite store in the mall and I get 10% off $30 or more. 

@danhoward my wife and I go to a sporting good store once a quarter. On checking in you get (I forget) 20% off, and then the receipt has a $25 off next purchase – so we work with both of those to get the best deal.

@danhoward I am still undecided on my opinions of the app within Facebook. One of our pages in particular gets a lot more checkin activity (https://www.facebook.com/MarianUniversityforSt.VincentHealth) but I believe the groundwork was laid prior to the newer app integration with Facebook.
