FB chat constantly switches itself on (3 posts)

    Since today the Facebook chat box switches itself on constantly. I noticed it when, for example, I post a picture or open a second tab with another FB page in parallel. I have switched my chat off already 10 times today, and it’s only lunch time!

    I am offline for chats on purpose. As soon as I’m online, people who don’t know what to do with their time start time wasting discussions with me.

    Has anyone of you experienced the same?

    And if so, were you able to switch the chat off for good?

    @claudiapoeckl Facebook has gone through a lot of changes but, at one point, I was able to always appear offline in the chat window through my settings. Unfortunately this seems to no longer be the case and my chat turns itself on as well. I haven’t found a fix for this other than disabling frequently. @Andrea-Vahl do you know any tricks on shutting it off?
