I recently came across this app from Floodstreet that creates FB contest for free. http://sweepstakes.floodstreet.com
Has anyone used them before? I have been trying to gather information as to whether they are an approved 3rd party as far as Facebook is concerned. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Strange, @jodihoxseycleer, seems the page is not working (for me). Can’t access it via your link and when searching on Google, the site comes up but it cannot be displayed. Will try to have another look lateron.

I haven’t checked out Floodstreet, but will. We use Wildfire to manage all of our campaigns and give aways. There is a fee, but it is minimal. Hope that helps!

@sheilahoeftI have always used Wildfire in the past, but it has limitations unless you are willing to pay big buck for a campaign. The reason I am intrigued by Floodstreet is that once you enter the contest it takes you to a screen where you have to “like” the page to move on. It is against FB rules to have to “like” a page to enter a contest, but the way this is different is that you enter the contest first then it ask you to “like” the page, but the fan does not realize they have already entered, and is lead to believe they have to “like” the page to submit their entry.

@jodihoxseycleer, usually contest informations are available in a tab specially built with this purpose, and I’ve seen quite a lot of pages that only show the tab after you like it…

There are many Contest/Sweepstakes apps that have a “fan-gate” @jodihoxseycleer- and that is not against the terms. It is ok to require that someone Like your page before entering, it is against the terms to have the “Like” be the only way they enter (drawing a random winner from all the Likers)
I haven’t tried Floodstreet myself but there are so many contest apps that if you find one that works well for you and adheres to the terms then it’s good!
