Facebook Updates (9 posts)

  • Over the last few months, Facebook has been making a lot of changes. Some of us love the adventure of figuring it out, while others are frustrated that just as they get used to it, there is another change.

How do you feel and why?

  • While some of the updates/changes are annoying I personally don’t mind them as they increase the value I bring to my clients.

  • Although the changes may be frustrating, many times they are improvements.  I prefer when FB actually gives us notice vs. the “surprise” changes, but at the same time I have to remember that FB is a free platform.

So although it can be frustrating, we do have to accept them.  :)

  • Most of the time, the changes are good. Just keep in perspective their goals and objectives which will change more to data/revenue when the IPO comes out this spring. Privacy is also a major concern, especially when changes are made, where to go, what to do. Timeline is a good example.

  • It really does not matter what we think.  LOL.  Facebook and the other social media sites will continue to change. For the better is what they all say… At first all these changes were a little un nerving to me.  Now, I roll forward into the changes knowing that they really will make a difference for those of us who are using social media for our business marketing.  I believe that social media is changing the consciousness of the world.  In a good way.

  • I agree some times change can be frustrating but as consultants and marketers it is our job to make sure we fully understand the changes so we can guide our clients through the process, that way we can keep our clients one step ahead of the competition.

Also don’t forget change means another opportunity to add an extra service we can offer to increase our profits!

  • I am a student of life so I welcome the changes as a learning opportunity.  I feel that I need to be always learning to keep my clients head in the game.  I will take a class on just about anything if I think it will help one of my clients.  I love what I do and strive to be the best I can be for my clients and my business. (Yes, I am a nerd and a geek)

  • In my business, I have to keep up with change, though I’m not always crazy about it. In time, I usually like the changes in Facebook.

I remember how many were unhappy when they decided to add the pictures across the top of Facebook walls. As time went by, people got creative, and now we have a chance to get creative with timeline. Do I like it? I’m not sure yet.

  • Well, facebook are a world wide company of nearly 1 BILLION people, so the way I look at it, is this:
They must know what they are doing, to become so jolly BIG.. they would not make a change unless it is worthwhile.. it is just a case of us getting used to it, that’s all, aye :-)
