    When the Timeline goes into effect at the end of this month, if a business does not update their cover picture, what ends up going there by default?

    If you do a preview on your page, you can see what it looks like.  I have one that I haven’t added yet, and there’s a blank blue area there at the moment.

    Everyone up there is right.  It will be blank.  If you plan to put up a photo, then here are some restrictions and rules you should know about:

    The area is blank but not terrible. You still have your profile picture on the side and the same layout on the top-portion. There are restrictions on cover photos as  @nelsonta mentioned to be cautious of. I manage several pages and it took me a bit to figure out the best cover photos but eventually I did and switched to Timeline. I think the necessity of a cover image really depends on the nature of the business the page is about.

    The exact size of Facebook Timeline cover photo is 851px * 315px and if its smaller FB stretches it. So its better to stay in this limit.

    Hi, I am getting ready to upload the timeline photo for a fan page but don’t see the option to do so.
    I have one on most of the other pages and even when typing in timeline, I see all the info on the timeline but no “get this now”.
    What do I need to do to make this happen? Help!
