Thanks for sharing this @edenrudin.  Just an extra tip on the custom landing pages… once you hit 700 px (or so) in length, you will have a vertical scroll bar appear.  So if you want to avoid the scroll bar, make sure your landing page is less than 700px.

Any suggestions on creating a banner set of graphics??

I’ve adopted the new timeline and see that only my 90 x90 profile pic shows on the lower left of the cover (this is on my personal page, not business page). 

Anyone know if there is a way to still use the 180 x 540 size?

@johnpristine Are you talking about the pdf  @edenrudin created? It is a mix of media sizes for personal accounts and business pages. Do you have a business page on Facebook?

 @designbykiltz, absolutely I would love that, sorry but you won’t find much more over there yet as I have been so busy with clients I haven’t had time to focus on me, I want to change over to more of a blog format so I can expand on some of the topics I cover on my FB page (that’s where you can usually find me). 

@swrightboucher – the 180×540 size you would use on a Page to make a custom avatar. Check out my FB page for an example if your not sure what I am referring to  

@deereinhardt – are you referring to the banner photos on a Page? Give me an idea of what you are referring to (post a url to a sample so I can go have a look-that may be easier) and I will try to help you out.

on a side note: @lisaschulteis if you want to avoid the bars (horizontal and vertical) there is code you can put in your HTML to allow you to wipe out the bars…I will have to get it when I get home and post it.

@rebecca – I actually use the iframe static html app and they have a “magic” little check box that gets rid of the scroll bar.  Love it!

Oh…I free code all my stuff…I can’t bring myself to use a 3rd party app.

@Andrea-Vahl   do you think it’s better to post a summary and refer people to a website or blog rather than such a long post? Or refer them to a FB note? I agree that people on FB only want a short tidbit, but what would be a good way to use the extra space?  I’m not really sure why they thought anyone would use such a huge space.

I really don’t know why people would want that huge space either, @ndonelly.  I think you are better served by having the content on your website and a small snipit on Facebook to direct them to the blog.  I do think it’s nice when you are posting something long to have a little extra room but all that room is overkill.  I think they just thought Google+ had more space so they should too.

And to @tag someone, you just click on their name and it’s added in the comments area – looks like you did tag me so you got it right!

I was just working on learning Lujure (as suggested by another club member) and it has the drag and drop feature to add then resize all types of widgets. How would this template fit into that? ANd just when you think you understand it well enough, they change the game on you.  I can’t believe they took the landing page away – I think we they see a drop in FB Ad revenue as a result they’ll bring it back – or something like it….
