facebook personal profile page or facebook page for profile (3 posts)

  • I know the title sounds a bit confusing but its like this.

The more I become socially active, the more I want to get connected with people on facebook… however, I, (and Im sure others feel the same) dont necessarily want to be “friending” everyone just to get connected.  The idea if mixing my personal with my business does not necessarily appeal.

So, Im thinking I should setup a facebook page, for me personally (make sense?) and send everyone there, and get subscribers and “likers” instead.

I think this is the best approach, but would like to hear others opinions on this.

    Cheers

    Vince

  • @vincentedwards ~ I know a few people who have done this.  On the other hand, I also am subscribed to Pete Cashmore, who is the founder of Mashable.  I do not get his personal posts, just his public posts.  I could see me posting a bunch of business stuff through my own profile upsetting my friends, though.  We’re all together to keep up with what’s going on in each other’s lives . . . not to be bombarded with public posts about business stuff.

If it were me, I’d probably go with a page.

  • Yes thats what I mean… plus I was thinking, having a page with downloads and videos etc, seems more appropriate. Thanks.
