I know about merging a facebook page with facebook place. But i am helpless in doing this I tried to do this but unable to complete the process as i don’t see merge duplicate page option. Basically, issue is as follow:
I have my main page which i use for updates and fan engagement. Then i created a place page so that fans can check-in to the place and it works well and allows to check-in. Now i realized that since both are same business, fans should be allowed to check-in to the actual page and not the separate place page. My facebook actual page is : https://www.facebook.com/HospitalForThePoor this is what i want to be used for check-in too. And my place page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Al-Ameen-Hospital/118890694906551 shall be merged with the former one. 

I tried to find merge duplicate pages using my admin panel, but there shows no such button Any idea or solution to this? (I own both these pages under on profile and admin panel.) Thanks.

@scottmadden No, never. What you mean to say is that i shall delete this place page, create new place page then try to merge it with original fan page. Right? If so, do you feel it will sort out the problem.

@scottmadden but when you search for it (al-ameen hospital or hospital for poor) in facebook search box, it comes up as a page under page section.
